Dr. Sarah Youssof received her medical degree from the University of California - San Francisco. She completed a neurology residency and a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at the University of California - Los Angeles. She is board certified in Neurology with added certifications in Neuromuscular Medicine and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Dr. Youssof served as the Director of Neuromuscular services at the University of New Mexico (UNM) for 8 years before departing to open New Mexico Neuromuscular Center to provide the best patient-oriented neuromuscular care to the region. She was the director of both the ALS clinic and the MDA clinic at UNM where she headed an excellent team, with dedicated and caring practitioners. She continues to work closely with the Albuquerque MDA to provide care and services to people living with ALS and with muscular dystrophy.
Since childhood, Dr. Youssof has held high standards and expectations for herself. To her, medicine is more than a career; it is a passion and a calling. She is not only an accomplished neurologist, but a compassionate person who truly cares about her patients and their lives. Your health and well being is of the utmost important to her. She founded New Mexico Neuromuscular Center to bring the best neuromuscular care to Albuquerque and the rest of the state.
